Next Phase of Redevelopment Begins Along Brighton Boulevard

DENVER — Denver Public Works is starting the next phase of a project to reconstruct Brighton Boulevard from 29th to 44th Streets. The work will begin later this week, requiring travel to be reduced to one lane in each direction on a two block stretch from 29th to 31st Streets. Construction along Brighton will not impact access to the National Western Stock Show, however drivers should expect delays.

The redevelopment of Brighton is expected to be ongoing into 2018. Travel updates will be provided to the public as construction progresses down the corridor. Pedestrian and business access will be maintained along Brighton while the work is underway. Through traffic between I-70 and downtown may want to use a different route to avoid construction.

The public’s patience and cooperation during construction is greatly appreciated. All work is weather dependent and subject to change.

The Brighton Boulevard Redevelopment Project, managed by the North Denver Cornerstone Collaborative (NDCC) in partnership with Denver Public Works, will construct critical public infrastructure from 29th to 44th Streets. For more information, please visit denvergov.org/brightonblvdcorridor
