It’s Winter Bike Week!  That’s right this week, January 23rd through the 27th is Winter Bike Week, so swap out your car keys for some warm layers and a bike helmet!

RTD’s new Route 62 bus service

This route now serves Northfield High School, Commerce City, and offers another connection for Stapleton area residents at RTD’s Central Park Rail Station. (The red line shows a temporary deviation expected to operate thru February – while RTD waits for Central Park Boulevard North of 56th to be opened). The bus service runs every 30 minutes M-F between 6am and 6pm and on Saturdays hourly between 7am and 6pm. RTD will also add service on certain dates to coincide with events at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. The new route is being funded by a special 3-year ‘trial service’ grant awarded

Next Phase of Redevelopment Begins Along Brighton Boulevard

DENVER ­— Denver Public Works is starting the next phase of a project to reconstruct Brighton Boulevard from 29th to 44th Streets. The work will begin later this week, requiring travel to be reduced to one lane in each direction on a two block stretch from 29th to 31st Streets. Construction along Brighton will not impact access to the National Western Stock Show, however drivers should expect delays.

The redevelopment of Brighton is expected to be ongoing into 2018. Travel updates will be provided to the public as construction progresses down the

Please help urge the City of Denver to complete construction of the Sand Creek Greenway trail!

Denver has initiated a process to get public input regarding potential projects for a November 2017 General Obligation Bond proposal.  Six public meetings are scheduled in November and December.


Please attend one of these two public meetings and urge that completion of the Sand Creek Greenway trail through Denver be included in the bond issue. Completion requires paving several current gaps and likely construction of a new bicycle and pedestrian bridge near I-70.
